The 8 passenger Learjet 60 was derived from the Learjet 55. It featured a stretch of the Lear 55’s fuselage and PW305A engines and aerodynamic modifications to the wing. It first flew on the 10th October 1990 and remained in production until 2007 when the Learjet 60XR deliveries began. The Learjet 60XR featured an upgraded cabin, Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 advanced avionics suite and three disc steel wheel brakes.
